A Prefeitura de Sorocaba, por meio da Secretaria do Meio Ambiente, Proteção e Bem-Estar Animal (Sema), realiza, neste sábado (24), das 9h às 13h, a feira de adoção de cães no Parque “Carlos Alberto de Souza”, no Campolim.
A iniciativa municipal faz parte do programa “D + uma chance, adote uma vida!”, uma campanha permanente de adoção responsável de cães e gatos. Todos os animais são castrados, microchipados, vacinados e vermifugados.
Adotar um animal de estimação é assumir uma responsabilidade e jamais pode ser uma ação por impulso, pois os tutores precisam garantir o cuidado necessário a esses animaizinhos por toda a vida. Um cão, por exemplo, pode viver mais de 15 anos, ou seja, ele vai precisar da atenção do seu tutor por muito tempo, como receber carinho, cuidados veterinários, além da necessidade de brincar e passear.
As pessoas que desejam adotar um animalzinho de estimação, ainda, podem comparecer, de segunda a sexta-feira, das 9h às 16h, diretamente à Unidade de Proteção e Bem-Estar Animal, localizada na Rua Rosa Maria de Oliveira, 345, ao lado do Instituto Humberto de Campos, no Jardim Zulmira.
