Hospital Geral de Nova Iguaçu promove campanha de doação de sangue

O Hospital Geral de Nova Iguaçu (HGNI) está convocando a população para doar sangue. A campanha tem como objetivo aumentar as reservas sanguíneas, principalmente neste último trimestre do ano, período com muitos feriados e festas, quando as doações diminuem e os casos de emergência aumentam. Para atender essa demanda, são necessárias, no mínimo, 800 bolsas coletadas mensais.

O banco de sangue está funcionando de segunda a sábado, das 7h30 às 18h, inclusive nos feriados. O HGNI vem promovendo conversas com grupos de voluntários interessados em fazer a doação, além dos familiares, acompanhantes e visitantes de pacientes, sobre a importância de doar sangue.

“O hospital já está se preparando para as urgências que podem aparecer neste último trimestre do ano. É necessário que o estoque esteja sempre abastecido. Contamos com a ajuda dos doadores nessa missão de salvar vidas”, destaca o secretário municipal de Saúde de Nova Iguaçu, Luiz Carlos Nobre Cavalcanti.

Por ser uma referência na Baixada Fluminense, o hospital acaba atendendo vítimas de traumas e doenças graves onde a transfusão sanguínea é necessária para ajudar a salvar a vida deste paciente. Moradora do bairro de Cabuçu, em Nova Iguaçu, Josinete Valentim Barbosa, de 38 anos, conta que sempre teve vontade de doar sangue. Por um problema de família, ela veio ao HGNI e conheceu o banco de sangue da unidade, o que a motivou a fazer sua primeira doação.

“Temos que pensar no amanhã e em ajudar ao próximo. Foi uma sensação maravilhosa saber que posso estar ajudando alguém. Quero voltar assim que possível”, conta ela.

Transporte gratuito

Outra ação para atrair mais doadores de sangue é o transporte gratuito para grupos de pessoas. Quem estiver interessado pode entrar em contato pelo telefone (21) 99695-7470, com até três dias de antecedência a data prevista da doação para verificar a viabilidade do serviço, que também atende cidades vizinhas à Nova Iguaçu. Ainda pelo telefone acontece uma pré-triagem para verificar se as pessoas estão aptas a doar. Ao fim do processo, a unidade disponibiliza, gratuitamente, um carro de aplicativo ou van, para fazer o transporte deste grupo.
